How long does it take to heal? What is the recovery time?
Brows will take about 4-6 weeks to reach their final look. However, it only takes 2 weeks for the scabbing process to complete. After 2 weeks, you can return to your normal routine and activities.
How often do I need a touchup?
We recommend yearly touch-ups to keep the color fresh. It varies from client to client, but touch-ups are typically needed between 9 months to 2 years, depending on the client's skin type and lifestyle.
Who is suited for this procedure?
Clients with normal skin are perfect candidates for microblading, as they don’t have overly oily or sensitive skin. For clients with moderately oily skin, our Master Artist may suggest Combo Brows, while those with oily skin are better suited for Powder Brows. Our Online Appointment Process evaluates your eyebrows and skin, recommending the best technique (Microblading, Powder Brows, or Combo Brows) and artist based on your answers.
Who is not a candidate for microblading?
Anyone with oily skin is not a suitable candidate for microblading, as the oil can cause the hairstrokes to become thicker and disperse the pigment over time. Clients with oily skin are better suited for Powder Brows. We offer consultations over email—simply send a photo of your skin without makeup, and one of our Master Artists will evaluate it and make the best recommendation.
Fitzpatrick & who is this for?
ISR is suitable for everybody. However, Fitzpatrick 4/5/6 clients require a test patch to determine if excessive melanin response occurs, leading to hyperpigmentation in the treatment area. Fitzpatrick 4/5/6 clients may require fewer treatments, but it's essential to ensure the response is not too strong, as it could result in hyperpigmentation.
